FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - Competing in the Skyline Conference tournament for the second year in a row, third-seeded Mount Saint Mary College fell to second-seeded Farmingdale State College, 5-1, in Friday's semifinal match. The Knights finish the season at 9-8 overall.

Zach Conlon (Huntington, N.Y.) and freshman
Conor Merryman (Marlboro, N.Y.) provided the only point for the Mount with an 8-4 victory at third doubles. Sophomore
Stat Willand (Sparta, N.J.) and freshman
Nate Dimmie (Middletown, N.Y.) played well at first doubles, but couldn't recover from an early break. The Rams claimed an 8-5 decision to claim a 2-1 advantage.
The Rams closed out the match with wins at second, third, and sixth singles. Dimmie was in the midst of a tight second set at first singles, while McNicholas and Conlon were in the third set at fourth and fifth singles, respectively. Willand played an excellent match at second singles, but ultimately succumbed, 6-4, 7-5.
Farmingdale advances to Saturday's championship match against Purchase College.
