NEWBURGH, N.Y. - Senior Frank Snyder (Wallkill, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference second team as the year-end baseball awards were announced this afternoon.

Snyder, the ace of the Mount Saint Mary pitching staff, finished the year with an earned run average of 4.37 and a won-loss record of 4-3.  In the final weeks of the season, Snyder claimed crucial victories for the Knights over Maritime College, Purchase College, and then Maritime College again in the Skyline Conference quarterfinals.  Snyder allowed just three hits and no earned runs as the Mount defeated the Privateers, 9-0, in the playoffs.

After advancing to the winner's bracket final in the Skyline tournament, Mount Saint Mary was eliminated after losing consecutive games to Farmingdale and Old Westbury.  The Knights finished the season at 14-20.
