MADISON, N.J. – Boosted by individual event victories by freshmen Brianna Perazella (Cheshire, Conn.) and Jamie Testa (Prospect, Conn.), the Mount Saint Mary College women’s swimming team defeated Drew University, 93-87. Sophomore Enrique Naudy (Monroe, N.Y.) won three events on the men’s side, but it wasn’t enough as the Blue Knights fell, 101-74.

Perazella was a double-winner and was just off record pace in both of her events. The freshman won the 200 individual medley in 2:23.88 and the 500 freestyle in 5:31.48. Testa continued her strong contributions in the butterfly events, capturing the 100 butterfly in a season-best time of 1:05.92.

Perazella and Testa also teamed with freshmen Kassie Kayal (Wayne, N.Y.) and Maggie Connell (Normandy Beach, N.J.) to break their own record in the 200 medley relay (2:04.13). They were more than a half second faster than their previous record time.

Naudy remained unbeaten in individual events so far this season, taking all three of his individual races. The sophomore dominated the 200 individual medley (2:05.75), the 100 butterfly (59.15), and the 500 freestyle (5:22.72).

With a week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, the Blue Knights return to action on Monday, November 30. Both teams will head to Sarah Lawrence for a double-dual with Old Westbury. The meet is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
